This project involved design and construction of a new wastewater collection system to support growth of the base population that was hydraulically-sized to convey increased flows and improved functionality for the North and South Treatment Plants.
As the Qualified Fire Protection Engineer, Poole Fire Protection provided code consulting services along with design and construction management for the gas detection system. During the code analysis summary phase, Poole Fire Protection provided assistance to the prime AE firm on the code review and analysis, and performed the hydrant flow test, code review and analysis in accordance with the RFP, developed fire extinguisher specification and the life safety plan for each building.
Poole designed a gas detection system for each building containing hazardous materials, then provided construction administration services for the installation of the gas detection system. The firm was also responsible for responding to requests for information to clarify and answer questions in regards to the project during the bidding and construction phases. Poole provided a review of shop drawings, material submittals, battery calculations, as well as voltage drop calculations. Poole was present at site visits for construction inspection, preliminary testing and final acceptance testing.
